Layer 2 — DISCOVER the value of the information in the data
  • IDENTIFY specific vocabulary to address in-depth workflows.
  • CONDUCT specific workflows that COLLECT information to be analyzed.
  • ANALYZE and INVESTIGATE information to ensure its value for making informed decisions.
  • Example: USE a specific workflow to DETERMINE Strengths and Weaknesses.
  • Example: INVESTIGATE learning outcomes for identified subgroups.

Data L2 Activity - Analyzing the Frequency Distribution within Performance Levels (Quartile Report)

The Quartile Report allows you to see the distriubtion level for each of the performance levels identified in the Performance Breakdown report. The goal is to investigate (or analyze) the scores in each quartile.  Quartile 4 indicates the students who have the opportunity to move forward to the next performance level.

The Quartile Report will assist you in analyzing the frquency distriubtion within each performance level.  You can identify students at-risk of falling to the next performance level or have the potential to move forward to the next performance level.

Data L2 Activity - Identifying OPI Growth Trends Across all Groups

This report allows you to see the trend associated with the group aggregate OPI (Oklahoma Performance Index) score. With the selected OPI Score Report be sure you are looking at the long range trend (multiple bars to compare OPI trend).
    • Goal is to have the OPI score increasing every year.
    • Goals is to have the OPI group average in the 800 range.
