1.02 How This Model Came to Be pp. 11-15

Throughout the remainder of this book, Larry showcase educators and leaders from school systems he had the good fortune to assist in redesigning their existing curricula. Larry had developed and piloted the RCD Model through collaborative support from three school districts, Hartford, West Haven, and East Hartford, Connecticut.  To provide readers with a background context for this approach to rigorous curriculum design, he provides in Chapter 2 a brief story for how his model came to be.

Once on the page, review and identify a particular unit of interest. Understanding that the units are of varying quality, discuss what you like about the unit and what might be improved.
