DLESE

Site linked with permission.

Dear Terry-

DLESE is also a free service, and we allow free access to all our metadata records either through the www.dlese.org url or through web services. So linking to us is not problem at all, in fact we are delighted! Please do provide an attribution to DLESE in making the link of course.

If you have a specific area of interest content-wise or audience wise, you may be interested in knowing more about our search web service or the JavaScript Service, both of which allow you to embed a DLESE search in your website, maintaining the look and feel of your site. Queries are returned to *your* site, so users do not have to leave your page. For an example see this url:

http://preview.dlese.org/search/fcosee/

For information on how this works see:

If you would like to discuss this further, please let me know.

Your input is appreciated...

Will it infringe on copyright if I embed www.dlese.org inside a frame for my APES course and also on an open bin (link) in a knowledge manage system for over 120 AP Environmental science instructors? This is a free service managed by me, an APES instructor, and by ALCA a non-profit association.

My schools site is located at http://enid.alcaweb.org/v3. The non-profit where the 120 instructors have free accounts is at http://www.alcaweb.org.

DLESE would provide great resource within my APES course. In any case, appreciate your efforts.
