Artifact to Benchmark
This room area is made available to science supervisors/teachers to collaborate within the context of continual improvement. Continual improvement as it applies to utilizing Oklahoma's PASS standards, blueprints, test specifications, etc.
Goals include but are not limited to:
- Identify free sources, upload science lessons AND classroom products for purpose of "pooling" artifacts useful in assessment items.
- Cultivating an environment in which science teachers can contribute, construct, edit and/or CRT and EOI assessment items/text banks.
- Provide environment that reinforces through modeling use of standards, DoK levels, test specifications, blueprints within EACH classroom lesson.
Model by Example
- Look at the picture (artifact) of a rose.
- As a student, one might be able to suggest a food web, a symbiosis of some kind, or properties of species that contributes to its survival.
- As a teacher, one should see the potential of a multiple choice test item. Every student photograph, data table, graph, illustration, essay, procedure should culminate into a series of multiple choice items.
