Using PLC Tasks
This bin introduces you to the process of completing a typical task. You may want to print this page and use it as a reference as you complete your first few tasks. Completing most PLC tasks are really quite simple and quick to accomplish.
PLC Tasks
Your PLC Tasks are divided into three major types of activities:
Standards
The Standards Tasks provide a strong foundation for all other activities conducted in your instructional and professional activities. Standards tasks focus on three main areas including data reflections, resources emphasizing essential PLC vocabulary and workflows, and planning your PLC's movement forward.
Curriculum
The Curriculum Tasks focus on mapping or planning the use of your curriculum. Three areas that are emphasized include the logging of your curriculum activities (diary mapping), the development or use of content, and developing consensus of the curriculum. The curriculum can be used within one's school site or district or across school districts.
Assessment
The Assessment Tasks address three areas as well. These include assessment strategies, the process of item selection or development, and the actual process of assessing student learning.
