Standards: Start of Year Action Plan (Template/Draft)

This data driven decision resource is presented as is for purpose of providing teachers and administrators an action plan monitor, evaluate, and adapt curriculum and instruction for _________________. Action plan, as proposed, is intended to get members of respective learning communities to talk about data driven decisions for continual improvement. It is important for administration to have a conversation with teachers about “Will this work for our school?” in order to develop a share vision addressing the critical need to make decisions based on data. The Comprehend portion is limited due to the fact each teacher and administrator MUST ask questions based on their own data.

It is not ALCA’s intention to "define" an action plan model to improve student learning for you or your district. The "best" action plan is one in which a district battles to fine all data, examine it, set goals, and make changes to reach them. The conversation cycle must always be about data, adapting, more data, adapting, and so on. Critical to process is to document data and adaptations based on new data. Use this check list or modified version that better meets your systems needs to collect and analyze data. Adapt to improve identify targeted professional development needs and instructional/curricular modifications.
