Literacy Kits

This list of literacy strategies has a range of specific tasks that help students process information. Central to students constructing new knowledge research shows they need to be able to:

Ask questions (e.g., construct MC questions)
Sort information
Construct sequential steps (i.e., algorithms)
Utilize Vocabulary

To add depth of understanding the use of modeling should be considered. This may include:

Writing stories
Using analogies
Drawing illustrations
