Performance Level Descriptors describe specifically what a student can demonstrate if they are Advanced, Satisfactory, Limited knowledge, or Unsatisfactory.

Steps

  1. PLC Guide

    The Performance Level Descriptors explain what a learner can accomplish on each of the Advanced, Satisfactory, Limited Knowledge, and Unsatisfactory levels specific to a particular tested grade and subject area. The descriptors provide a set of performance characteristics for students on a particular level.

    To include the desired descriptors in your PLC Guide:
    1. Click the Performance Level Descriptors link below.
    2. Click on the top Select Performance Level Descriptor link.
    3. Click the folder containing the latest Performance Level Descriptors.
    4. Review the list containing the latest Descriptor(s). If the desired descriptor is not available, it may be necessary to locate and use the descriptor from an earlier year.
    5. Click the desired descriptor link to display the descriptor's pdf file. If downloaded to your desktop, locate it and double-click the file to open it.
    6. Print the descriptor file and include in your PLC Guide.

    Note: If you have already included the Performance Level Descriptors in your PLC Guide, review the linked document below with the one in your Guide. If there have been changes, replace it with this newer version.
