The main focus of this activity is for students to encounter a situation where students solve a system of two linear equations. Throughout the activity, the student encounter concepts such as ratio and proportions, writing a linear equation given a table of collected data, determine the slope of a line, make inferences about the slope and its meaning in a real-world situation. Students will make inferences about the meaning of a linear system of equations as it applies to an application in the real world.
