This is the first lesson in the SATEC sequence where the students must establish the scale for the grid before they can graph their ordered pairs. Teachers should walk them through an example and watch closely over their shoulders, as they will struggle with this. Students should be reminded that the dependent variable goes on the y axis and the independent belongs on the x axis, but the grids are already labeled for the students.
