As the call went out for the Greeks to gather together for war against the Trojans two
warrors were noticably absent. Achilles and the wise young general Odysseus. The
Greek kings felt they could not win the with both joining ranks with the army. King
Agamemon disagreed but the council decided to send the oldest Greek and possibly
the wisest King Nestor to find the absent heroes. King Nestor traveled to the island
of Ithica to find Odysseus.
There he found the young king plowing the salty beach and planting salt. Obviously
he was too crazy to go to war and was about to leave when he took Odysseus's young
son Telemachas from his mother Penelope and placed him in the furrow. The young
boy would have been killed but Odysseus threw down the reins of the team of bulls and
rescued his son proving he wasn't crazy. He know gathered his troops and prepared
for war. Now to find the absent Achilles.
