Big Idea
Computer hardware is designed to store and manipulate information based on microscopic on/off switches.
Essential Questions.
How are bits of information distinquishable and stored in a physical place?
How is information exchange controlled in a network?
-Hardware
The phyiscal tangible parts of a computer.
-Keyboard, monitor, disks, wires, chips, etc.
-Software
Programs and ata
-A program is a series of instructions.
-A computer requires both hardware and software.
-Each is essentially useless without the other.
