  1. Graphic Organizer

Use the linked graphic organizer to complete the following instructions.

  2. Texting Lingo

At the beginning of the year and as a class, make a list of acceptable texting shortcutts that can be used in this strategy.  Texting abbreviations specific for the content in the class can be added over time, but they must be all agreed upon by the class.  Keep the updated texting shortcutts listed in a public place for all to reference.
  3. Daily Target Question

Each day there will be a daily targeted question that relates the day's class work.  Write the target question provided, where indicated in the graphic organizer.
  4. The Daily Tweet

Enter a tweet that you consider addresses the targeted question for the day, but it must have the following requirements:
    • Limit of 140 characters
    • Limit to two sentences
    • One sentence may include class approved texting abbreviations.
    • Second sentence must use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.  (Type it in Word if you must.)
    • Text must provide insight to the answer to the question.
If any of the five requirements are not met, it will not be considered a successful TWEET!
  5. Share

Be prepared to share some of your tweets with a peer and/or class at the end of the week for a review of the content of the week.  Your teacher may want to have these turned in as well for a formative assessment or use the review in preparation for an end-of-week quiz.
