GIS is just plain fun way to learn spatially. This folder contains three different folders for fGIS (free), Google Earth (free), and ESRI's ArcView.
Some teachers have been using ArcView for some time and may have suggestions for it's use. Please share....
This folder contains resources the model the free fGIS application developed in Wisconsin. I personally worked with ESRI's ArcView for years and found this easily manage application works just as well and is somewhat easier to use and process information.
An important feature with this one is that say there is only 2-3 themes with one being a graphic (no orthos please) all placed with a folder with the program can be zipped and uploaded to folder. Another teacher can then download, unzip and open the program ready to interact with the data...very cool indeed!!!! Examples coming soon.
it is suggested that Google Earth kml and kmz files be uploaded here so to model their use. Links would be appreciated.
