Teacher Goals

  • Students will analyze the cross section of soil layers using soil straight from the school grounds.

Required Resources

  • per group:

    Soil sample from playground
    3 glasses
    Distilled water
    Litmus paper strips
     

Steps

  1. Mix soil with distilled water

    Put soil in a glass and add distilled water. Mix well. Let the glass stand a few minutes.
