Color Poetry
Colors:
Below are some examples of the wide range of poems that can be constructed around a single color. If nothing else, this is a good exercise in observation. Too often one overlooks the wonderful descriptive powers of color
EXAMPLES:
Purple is the Rose Bowl parade;
Purple is summer shade.
Purple is playing with Barney.
Purple is riding on my bike at twilight.
.
Blue may be sad;
Orange is the start of fall day.
Yellow is the July sun;
Black is when someone is dead;
Gray is someone in dismay.
Pink is happy.
Red is rosy
Green is a jelly bean.
Colors you see can be anything.
