Dreams can provide strange, fascinating images for poetry because they're unpredictable and often
confusing, full of colors, sensations, and weird scenes and situations.

Write a dream poem, based either on a dream they've had or by incorporating dreamlike images.
They can write a nightmare poem, a wish-fulfillment poem, or a sensation-dream poem.

NIGHTMARE

The gravestone barely hides me

As I tremble with fear and see

A horde of outrageous creatures

With twisted, gruesome features.

A flash of lightning.

They see me now.

"Help!

Please.

No don't.

RESTLESS DREAMS

                 The night is tiger-eyed

      & restless in its cage.

                                   A clock ticks.

                                                      A phone rings.
