Institute Details

 

What is the focus of the Leadership Institute?

At the Leadership Institute your group will create your district’s Action Plan integrating both the transition to the  Common Core State Standards and the implementation of the Teacher and Leader Effectiveness (TLE) requirements.  

 

ALCA Institutes are focused, hands-on events where like-minded participants create action plans, curriculum lesson plans and resources, assessments, and other content for immediate use in their classrooms, district wide, or across the ALCA Community.

 

 

Who should attend? 

Administrative staff involved in planning and implementing the Common Core transition and the Teacher and Leader Effectiveness.  

 

 

What will we do?

  • Actionable Tasks will be addressed for transitioning to the Common Core and the implementation of the TLE. Time for identifying resources, tentative scheduling, and assignment of tasks will be provided.
  • The category of tasks addressed include, but are not limited to, technology integration, stakeholder engagement, CCSS assessment, curriculum/instruction professional development, TLE, REAC3H activities.
  • Both paper-based and online tools and resources supporting the identified tasks will be provided during the Institute. 
  • Beyond the Institutes, as more information, resources, and administrator feedback become available, ALCA staff will update the actionable tasks making them available online immediately to participants throughout the three-year transition process. 

 

What is the cost?

The registration fee for the Leadership Institute is $95 per participant.  A light Breakfast and box Lunch is included.

 

 

What do we need to bring?

A minimum of one laptop computer per team is required.

  • Research and work of, but not limited to, Daggett, Reaves, Marzano, Ainsworth, Wiggins and McTigh, Danielson, Hattie, and Tulsa Public Schools.
