The Oklahoma Road Rally utilizes many subject areas. Using maps and research materials, students will use English, geography, geology, history, and mathematics skills.

Team size is not limited.

Research

The research packet contains questions about Oklahoma divided into several different categories. Some questions are common Oklahoma knowledge. Some questions will require creative problem solving skills to discover the answers. Students may work on the research materials individually or as a team.
The students will be given several months to work on the research portion of the competition.


Competition

A multiple choice online competition culminates the research portion of the competition. Students may use their completed research to answer the questions on the online quiz. The quiz must be taken by April 23, 2010. Results will be posted online on April 26 and will become final on April 29.

Winners

Plaques will be awarded to both the winning and runner-up teams in the research/online competitions at each of the three levels.


There are three grade levels of competition:
Elementary including grades 1-6.
Middle School including grades 7-8.
High School including grades 9-12.
