What is ALCA? The non-profit Aurora Learning Community Association (ALCA) is a collaboration of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) who comprehend, map, plan, and manage through the Seven Steps Forward. These seven steps focus on Data, Standards, Mapping, Planning, Assessment, Curriculum, and Strategies all tightly integrated through web-based services and site-based professional development and engagement. ALCA services and training focus on helping school districts use their existing testing data to benefit student growth. Comprehend Pro, ALCA's web-based service, allows easy exploration of EPAS, OCCT, TEKS, WIDA, NWEA, and District Data Sets. ALCA also supports schools and other educational institutions in moving their Professional Learning Community forward through using the Arch Platform, ALCA's Learning Community Management System.
